Dues payments to the Builders Association of South Florida are NOT tax-deductible as charitable contributions for federal tax purposes, but may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. Your dues for annual membership to Builders Association of South Florida includes $198.00 for membership in the National Association of Home Builders, and $115.00 for membership in the Florida Home Builders Association. A portion of your 2020 dues to the NAHB and FHBA is used for lobbying and is not deductible for tax purposes. The non-deductible portion of your 2020 NAHB dues is 20% and the non-deductible portion of your 2020 FHBA dues is 28%.

$10.00 of your dues for membership in the Florida Home Builders Association is allocated to the Florida Home Builders Political Action Committees. This portion of your dues is non-tax deductible as a business expense.

This allocation is optional. If you do not want any of your dues allocated to Florida Home Builders Political Action Committee, please indicate so and this will be retained in operating funds.

$100.00 of your dues for membership in the Builders Association of South Florida (BASF) may be allocated to the Builders Association of South Florida Political Action Committees in the discretion of the Board.
