Need your support letters re:

Five-Year Impact fee deferral item!

Final Hearing: January 19, 2022

Good afternoon, BASF Nation! We are glad to report that the County Commission is scheduled to adopt an ordinance that would defer the collection of impact fees for five years on all workforce and affordable housing projects!

The item, sponsored by Commissioner Jean Monestime, is item 7D on the Commission's  Wednesday, January 19, 2022 agendaThe proposal is attached on the button below.   BASF's letter of support for this item is  included in the second button below.

Since there could be some Commission opposition to the deferral, Commissioner Monestime and I  ask that ALL BASF BUILDERS send Support Letters to the Mayor and the County Commission! We need a strong showing of support to push this item over the finish line - and your letter will help us get there!

Along with BASF's letter this will send the right signal to the entire Commission that we are strongly supporting this item and why. You can use the BASF letter as a sample. A list with emails for the County Commission is also provided to expedite sending these emails.

This proposed change is an important next step toward, to improve financing options for workforce and affordable housing projects. We will continue to build on this good improvement,  and push for the adoption of more "housing friendly" policies .

Send your letter of support today - the five-year deferral will depend on it!  Thanks and call if you have questions or need other information, TB
