Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava,  Miami-Dade Commissioner Dr. Steve Gallon III, and Fort Lauderdale Fire Chief Stephen Gollan join NEXUS, an initiative of the Builders Association of South Florida, for a timely  conversation examining Florida Constitutional Amendment 3 and the future of property taxation, local government and community investment in Florida.
 
 The Price of Relief will move beyond the politics of the ballot measure to examine the practical questions it presents for Florida’s future: How could Amendment 3 affect local government revenues? What could those changes mean for public safety, infrastructure, transportation and other essential services? How should communities accommodate continued population and development growth with a changing revenue base? And what role will new development and non-homestead properties play in the evolving tax structure?
 
This is a conversation about more than property taxes. It is about how Florida pays for growth—and how we preserve and build the communities that growth requires.
